Broken services

I was born in Poole and have witnessed huge changes over the past 66 years. There seems to have been no consideration to the aesthetics of public buildings which is crucial for mental health . Roads flood around blocked drains each time there is a downpour . If cages were installed to catch the leaves and emptied once a year there would be no flooding. A simple solution which Germany employs. I am a foster carer and the children have not been contacted by their social worker for 8 months. We tried emailing but no answer. This is appalling. Inordinate amounts of Rate payers’ money is regularly wasted on hideous sculptures, road closures which cause chaos to build pavements and cycle lanes which are hardly used by pedestrians or cyclists. Boscombe reef, bbqs rarely used. Playgrounds with no gates for 3 years and dangerous equipment which despite being notified about, nothing gets done. ie on Wallisdown wreck. Bins overflowing there as not emptied. There seems to be no thought about what really matters and is important to residents and panders more about useless projects that massage theego of the council. It’s such a shame when we live in such a natural beautiful place. The Sang is wonderful.
