Our vision consultation ran from 10 August - 22 October. A wide range of methods were used to engage with residents and stakeholders on our draft vision, priorities and key objectives including:
Online survey, ideas wall and 'tell us your story' what's it like living in the BCP area
Paper copies of the survey were available in libraries
Eleven drop in roadshows in town centres / supermarkets and CastlePoint at our universities and colleges.
A children and young people questionnaire and activity and competition was run.
Three stakeholder events for Town and Parish Councils, Community Voluntary Sector and Residents' Associations were held
We changed the vision statement from "Our vision - where nature, coast, communities and towns come together to create a healthy and sustainable environment" to "Our vision - where people, nature, coast and towns come together in sustainable, safe and healthy communities
There was wide spread agreement for our two priorities and the wording changed to read
Our place and environment Vibrant places, where people and nature flourish, with a thriving economy in a healthy, natural environment Our people and communities Everyone leads a fulfilled life, maximising opportunity for all
We received feedback that we had set too many ambitions and that some could be reworded and merged.
