Changes to parking tariffs for Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole - you can view the Decision, the Sealed Traffic Order and the Notice of Making via the links and attachments in the 'Documents' section on this page.

Traffic Order consultation details were as follows:

Proposed tariff changes to align high and low season tariffs and restructure the length of stay tariff options as per the BCP Council Cabinet Decision of 8 September 2023.

Tariff changes are enacted by way of an Amendment to the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council (Parking Regulation, On-Street Parking Places and Off-Street Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2021.

The amendment proposes to:

  • Harmonise the high season changes to 15 March to 31 October.
  • Remove the goods vehicle tariff from Christchurch.
  • Harmonise the tariff length for car parking, the minimum tariff for car parking in the vicinity of town centres to be 1 hour on street.
  • Remove short tariff options such as 20, 30 and 40-minute parking tariffs
  • Implement a minimum tariff for car parking in the town centres including multi-storey car parks to 2 hours.
  • Implement a minimum tariff for car parking in district and out of town areas to be a minimum of 1 hour.
