(Ref P34, M5, C11 & T5) 2022 TCF: Merley, Poole to/from Christchurch, Northbourne Roundabout - Broadway Roundabout

The planned improvements on Castle Lane West between Redhill roundabout and Broadway roundabout have been deferred due to rising construction, labour and fuel costs, growing inflation and changes to national design standards for cycling infrastructure. This has meant south east Dorset’s original TCF budget, awarded pre-pandemic in March 2020, is no longer sufficient to build the entire network of cycle, walking and bus improvements planned across the region. No additional funding from the UK Government is available to cover the impact of these unforeseen cost increases.

  • Notice of Intention to Remove/Install Controlled Crossings
  • Notice of Intention to install Traffic Calming Features.

Proposals were availabe to views on a map and responses invited online by visiting Traffweb(External link) and clicking on:

  1. 'Public Consultation'
  2. 'Schemes'

Alternatively, you could respond to the proposal in writing to either:

specifying in your response the grounds for your support or objection and quoting ref P34 2022.
