The School Street is initially being introduced on a trial basis through an Experimental Traffic Order. Experimental Traffic Orders can be in operation for up to 18 months.

Comments received in the first six months after the scheme has been launched are used to assess how the School Street is working. These comments will be taken into consideration when deciding whether to make the scheme permanent.

The Deposit Document on this page provides information on the formal Experimental Traffic Order and the traffic restriction. From Monday 27 February 2023 you can respond formally with your views in writing to:
