We ran a public consultation to gather views on the introduction of a Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) for the vicinity immediately around the British Pregnancy Advice Service (BPAS) clinic on Ophir Road in Bournemouth. The consultation started on 20 July and closed at midnight on 31 August 2022.
We consulted on three different options that could exclude, and/or restrict, certain behaviours within a proposed "Safe Zone" area around the BPAS clinic. Please read the consultation document for more information.
Decision
Following consultation, a full report on the findings and outcomes of the consultation was presented to the portfolio holder for Community Safety and Regulatory Services. After careful consideration, a decision was made to implement a PSPO around the BPAS clinic in Ophir Road without any designated areas (Option 1). The PSPO will be in force from 7am-7pm Monday to Friday from the 13th October 2022.
