BCP Council is trialling the installation of an automated self-cleaning toilet in Old Orchard Quay Visitors Car Park in Poole. Self-cleaning toilets limit water usage and are sustainably designed and engineered so that they are more cost effective to clean and maintain than a standard toilet. This self-cleaning public convenience trial is the first of its kind in England and the main objective of the trial is to evaluate the overall performance of the toilet facilities. If the trial is successful, the toilet could remain as a permanent facility in Quay Visitors Car Park.
To help us assess the effectiveness of the trial we would like to hear about the experiences of people who have used the facilities. We are looking to gain feedback on aspects including ease of access, cleanliness and working order of the toilet facilities.
Have your say
Please share your views on your experience of the Old Orchard automated toilet facilities including any comments or suggestions for improvement by completing our survey below.
This survey will close on 31 October 2023.
