A new housing management service

This consultation is now closed

Now that BCP Council is one council serving the residents of Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, we are reviewing how we manage our council homes and we are considering creating one new combined service.

Our proposal is to create a new single service across both areas which will be run within BCP Council. This would mean that Poole Housing Partnership and the Bournemouth in-house service would no longer exist in their current forms, and a new combined service would be created to create the ‘best of both worlds’. This proposal includes the creation of an Advisory Board that would provide oversight, expertise, and informed advice. A number of other councils have recently made similar decisions.

Before any decisions are made, we would like to hear your views on this proposal. As well as this, we also would like to know what’s good about your housing service now and what improvements you would like to see to help design the future service.

How to take part and have your say

  • All council tenants and leaseholders have been sent an information leaflet and questionnaire through the post and have been invited to attend drop in roadshows and meetings
  • We are inviting BCP residents and those on the housing list to take part by completing the survey online
  • We are also asking everyone to submit ideas to the ideas wall below on what they would like to see from a future housing service
  • You can also ask a question below
  • You can attend a virtual meeting
