Community Governance Review

Between 25 November - 19 January we invited existing parish and town councils, residents’ groups, community associations, neighbourhood organisations and individual residents to put forward their suggestions for any town, parish and community councils for their area.

Following this first phase a group of cross-party councillors reviewed the submissions we received from the first stage of the community governance review. Testing each of the submissions against the review criteria, they came up with recommendations for new town and parish councils which were agreed for consultation by Cabinet and Full Council.
