BCP Homes Leaseholder Consultation
Reviewing our leaseholder services
BCP Homes is bringing together leasehold services across Bournemouth and Poole to ensure we have a clearer and more consistent approach for everyone.
As part of this process we are also making improvements so that:
- information is easier to understand
- communication is clearer
- you know your rights and responsibilities
- services better meet your needs
Please note this consultation only applies to leaseholders in Bournemouth and Poole, as there is no council-owned housing in Christchurch.
How can you help
We are asking for your views on how we manage leasehold homes and support leaseholders.
We are working on three important documents:
- a new Leasehold Policy: This sets out how we manage leasehold homes, including roles, responsibilities and how decisions are made.
- a new Leasehold Service Standard: This explains what you can expect from our services, including communication and timescales.
- an updated Leaseholder Information Pack: Gives clear guidance on how leasehold works, including service charges, repairs and your rights.
We want to check:
- if the documents include the right topics
- if they are clear and useful
- what might be missing
- what could be improved
All three documents are in draft form. This means they are not final and your feedback will help shape them.
How your feedback will be used
We will use your feedback to help us:
- improve the way we communicate
- strengthen our policies and service standards
- make sure services reflect what leaseholders need
This page will be updated so you can see what has changed as a result of the consultation.
How to take part
There are a few ways you can share your views:
- complete a feedback form on line
- go to your local BCP library and complete a paper copy
- download a copy and return it to BCP Homes Leaseholder Consultation, Consultation and Research Team, BCP Council. Civic Offices, Bournemouth, BH2 6DY
