Example of Bin Storage Units at Perry Gardens Proposed location of Bin Storage units

I would like to raise a concern regarding the current bin provision serving 34–44 and 46–56 Green Road, as well as the Whatleigh Close maisonettes.

The six standard bins currently located at the rear of 34–44 and 46–56 Green Road are no longer sufficient to accommodate the increased number of residents now living in these buildings. This has led to ongoing issues with overflow, excess waste being left around the bins, and a general decline in cleanliness and hygiene in the area.

In addition, the existing bins used by the Whatleigh Close maisonettes are also no longer adequate and contribute to the same problems.

I would therefore suggest that these existing bins be removed and replaced with a more suitable waste management solution. This could include the installation of larger-capacity bin storage units in a more appropriate location—such as along the pathway adjacent to 46–56 Green Road, leading to the Whatleigh Close maisonettes—with sufficient capacity to meet current demand.

As an example of a suitable solution, bins similar to those installed in Perry Gardens would be appropriate, as they provide better capacity, organisation, and visual tidiness. A photo of these has been attached, along with a map indicating the proposed location for the new units.

A revised approach like this would help reduce overflow, improve the appearance of the area, and ensure waste is managed in a cleaner, safer, and more efficient way for all residents.
