Harness what we already have

Upton Country Park and House are wonderful for local people and visitors alike. I would like to see it stay under local management, rather than become another National Trust or Historic Houses property. It's great to be something a bit different. The conservation work that has been done around the park over the last few years is fantastic and I think we should continue to harness similar qualities of the park and house. I agree that the tea rooms could offer more choice. Perhaps there could be more events in the park which have a small charge for attending but not a big cost to hold them, such as tours, group walks for dogs etc. The Mother's Day afternoon tea was fantastic, and a very reasonable price. More events like this would be lovely. In addition, perhaps there could be a bigger display or museum about the history of the house and families who lived there, as well as more about the nature and fauna that live in and use the country park.
I assume that people can still hire the house for weddings or other parties. These probably generate a good income.
