Active travel access

Upton House was joined up with the Castleman Trailway, back in the 1980s and with the shared path out along Holes Bay soon after. Sadly, the Trailway, much loved by many, is suffering from lack of maintenance. The current access improvements will be great but the overall length of the route needs investment. People who walk or cycle need food and drink so the cafe will flourish even more if the trailway is improved, especially if improved enough for mobility scooter use. Then, obviously, improved secure bike parking too.
