How can BCP Council work with residents, community and business organisations to deliver services for our area?

Cars are vilified and new properties make no provision for car parking. People need cars because , in the main , the bus service does not go where people need to go. How about some Hopper style buses that roam around the more built up areas and go along routes that aren't the main highways used by the main bus companies

BCP Future Places has extremely grandiose and very expensive aspirations that have unquantified benefits that won't materialise for a very long time. In concept , a good thing , but there are so many things wrong with the basic management of the BCP area that should be addressed urgently. E.g. Bournemouth town centre is now a ghost town - make some effort to encourage people ( other than students and Stag and Hen Parties ) to use the centre. Make it viable for businesses; make it easier for people to get to the town and park their cars ; clean the streets and do something concrete about the army of homeless people ( and I dont mean just move them on)

The Annual Airshow is an outdated and very expensive event. It brings barely organised chaos to the area over a busy weekend, costs a fortune and brings little revenue from the thousands of ay visitors, who park illegally (in the main) generate little extra revenue for local business and leave a massive litter problem.

Most of the roads and pavements around the BCP area are in a shocking state of disrepair . start fixing these before you get compensation claims for damage to vehicles and physical injury

3 or 4 years ago merging the 3 B C P councils into a single entity was supposed to save around £100M +. Yet we still have separate functions operating within the umbrella organisation . The Planning Dept is a classic case.
