Wimborne Road Spur to the Poole High School entrance gate has been formally trialled as a School Street. You can find more information about school streets in general in the FAQ section within the School Streets Have Your Say area.

The School Street has been formally introduced on a trial basis through an Experimental Traffic Order. Experimental Traffic Orders can be in operation for up to 18 months.

Comments received in the first six months after the scheme has been launched are used to assess how the School Street is working. These comments are taken into consideration when deciding whether to make the scheme permanent.

The Deposit Document on this page provides information on the formal Experimental Traffic Order and the traffic restriction. From Monday 15 April 2024 you could respond formally with your views in writing to:

specifying in your response the grounds for your support or objection, quoting reference E1 2024.
