Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) draft charging schedule
THIS CONSULTATION IS NOW CLOSED
We consulted on the Draft CIL Draft Charging Schedule from 25 April to 6 June 2024. We are now collating the feedback. We will publish all the consultation responses on the website by the end of June 2024 when we expect to submit the Draft CIL charging Schedule and Draft BCP Local Plan to the Planning Inspectorate for examination. The examination is expected to take around 12 months. If the examination is successful we hope to adopt the Draft CIL Charging Schedule in 2025.
Our new draft Local Plan for Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole sets out a strategy for how much, where and what type of development will take place across the BCP area up to 2039. It will provide planning policies and site allocations to guide change and new development proposals.
The draft Local Plan is supported by the CIL draft charging schedule. CIL is a ‘£ per sqm’ charge on new development to fund infrastructure needed to support growth of housing, employment, leisure and transport identified in the local plan.
The purpose of the consultation was to provide an opportunity for representations to be made on the CIL draft charging schedule before it is examined by a Planning Inspector appointed by the Secretary of State.
writing to us at BCP Local Plan, Planning Policy, BCP Council, Civic Centre, Bourne Avenue, Bournemouth, BH2 6DY.
Those making representations could request the right to be heard at the examination of the Draft BCP Local Plan. Representations could be accompanied by a request to be notified of progress when the documents are submitted for examination, publication of recommendations stage, and adoption. More information is available in the statement of representations procedure.
