BCP Seafront Strategy

Consultation has concluded

The new BCP Seafront Strategy was formally adopted by Cabinet on the 13th April 2022.  The Strategy sets out a bold and exciting vision for a world class seafront leisure offer across 15 miles of coast and 26 miles of harbour-side landscape and is closely aligned to the Council’s Big Plan. The Cabinet Report (scroll to link in the box on the right) sets out a prioritisation framework to support investment in our seafront environment, infrastructure and public spaces to help improve the health and well-being of all our residents and visitors as well as providing new and improved facilities for leisure and hospitality.

We asked

During the summer of 2021 we asked what you thought about our draft Seafront Strategy.  The consultation ran alongside our Seafront Visitor Survey.

You said

We received more than 1600 responses to our survey and 260 suggestions were posted on the ideas board on this page. We also received feedback from visitors to our roadshow events and a number of people and organisations emailed their views directly.
